Rose Hill Center was opened in 1992 through the generosity of many individuals, corporations, and foundations. Proceeds from the initial fundraising efforts were used to purchase land, build a campus and establish a therapeutic program that has successfully treated hundreds of individuals. Since then, fundraising dollars have been used to build the 10,000 square foot Education and Therapy Center, maintain the campus, upgrade the buildings, and enhance the programming.

In 2003, the Rose Hill Foundation was established as a supporting organization to raise funds in support of Rose Hill Center. One of its key goals is to raise funds to provide financial assistance for those who cannot afford the entire cost of treatment in the Residential Rehabilitation Program. Funds donated to the Rose Hill Foundation are managed by the Board.

In further support of their goal, the Rose Hill Foundation also established an endowment fund at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan.

Tax deductible donations in support of Rose Hill Center may be made to any of these three entities, each with specific tax advantages.
