Staff Profiles

Ben Y. Robinson was appointed president of Rose Hill Center on May 21, 2007 and has an excellent background of experience. For the previous ten years, Ben worked for Lutheran Social Services (LSS) in Michigan and Ohio, including seven years as the senior officer managing overall operations. Prior to that, he served as the CEO of Adult Well-Being Services in Detroit, an agency serving over 3,000 individuals with a mental illness or developmental disability, and the elderly.

Ben has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and psychology and a master’s in guidance and counseling, both from the University of Michigan. He also has an MBA in business economics from Wayne State University.

Ben is a past chairman of the Advisory Council on Mental Illness for the Michigan Department of Community Health, on which he served from 1995-2006 and to which he was reappointed in July, 2007. Ben also has extensive experience in strategic planning and fundraising, and has earned professional certification as a certified fund raising executive (CFRE).

Dr. Lynne M. Lyons joined the Rose Hill staff as a psychiatrist in 1999, and was appointed as Medical Director in 2005. A 1995 graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine, she completed the adult psychiatry residency and was chief resident at the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry in 1999.

Dr. Lyons is also involved in the Michigan Psychiatric Society and works in private practice in Novi, Michigan.

Gail Ranger, BSN, is Rose Hill's Vice President of Programs, a role to which she was appointed in 2007 after serving as Clinical Director since 2001 and, for four years prior to that, as a case manager. Gail received her nursing degree from Mercy College (now University of Detroit-Mercy) in 1979, and has held a variety of positions at other organizations including staff nurse, charge nurse, and unit supervisor for inpatient adults. In addition, her background includes child and adolescent care and day hospital positions. With the exception of two years spent in medical/critical care, all of Gail's nursing experience has been in psychiatric nursing.
